Suryavana is situated in Eastern Spain near Valencia. Since 2021 the retreat centre has been an independent Triratna project with the principal objective to serve the wider Spanish Sangha, as well as the Order here in Spain. On a “wing and a prayer” we bought the property in 2016 with two large loans. The project is currently thriving with a recent installation of a beautiful stupa and refurbishing a new Shrineroom.
We have an economically viable mix of Triratna community and Order events plus offering the centre to non-Triratna groups in the spirit of opening the doors to others, and supporting our income. There is still a long way to go to return the loans. (2032 the Bank loan, 2036, Windhorse Trust).
Is there anyone out there that would like to give whole or partially to Suryavana returning the funds to the Windhorse Trust? (The initial loan to buy and start the project was £73,895.64 sterling)
These monies would be twice times beneficial, as the debt repayment to the Windhorse Trust also becomes an investment to other Triratna projects via the Windhorse Trust nourishing the Triratna community wide and far.
